Borrowing Library Materials

You must present your PacerCard to borrow materials. Students can check out books, scores and CDs for four weeks (28 days); videos and DVDs check out for one week (7 days). Faculty & staff have semester borrowing privileges. All items are due back on the last day of classes each semester.

Borrowing Reserve Items

Professors may place materials on reserve in the library. A list of reserve materials is on file by professor's name in a notebook at the circulation desk. These items are located behind the circulation desk and may be borrowed for 3 HOURS (library-use only), 24 HOURS, or 3 DAYS, per the instructor's wishes. Please request items on reserve from the staff member at the desk.

Fines
  • Books, scores & CDs: $.20 per day

  • Reserve items: $2.00 per day

  • Videos and DVDs: $.50 per day

Please pay all fines when items are returned. You may pay with your PacerCard or by cash or check.

Renewals

Renewals are granted for four weeks (28 days). Books may be renewed by bringing them back to the library or by logging in to the library catalog. Click on the My Account link and sign in with your Peace username and the password library. Please change your password the first time you log in.

Borrowing Materials from Other Colleges

You may obtain loan forms from the Peace College librarian which will enable you to borrow up to five books from any CRC (Cooperating Raleigh Colleges) library. You must get a new form each time you need to borrow or renew books. You should not borrow a book from another college if the Peace Library already has a copy of that book. Most of your needs can be met from our own collection, but this direct loan service places over two million volumes at your disposal. We can also obtain books through interlibrary loan.
